Purpose:
During this hour-long unit, we will learn to assess for risk to both the gambler and those around the gambler (including use of the suicidality checklist), learn how to select the appropriate treatment modality and make other initial treatment decisions, establish inpatient treatment goals, and study Martin C. McGurrin’s outpatient treatment model.

At the end of this class, attendees will be able to develop an individualized treatment plan based on criteria specific to the gambler.
