Dr. Linda Graves has worked with the California Council on Problem Gambling since 2012. She provides technical assistance through training, consultation, and outreach to tribal casinos, card rooms, and law enforcement agencies throughout the state. She provides continuing education oversight for CCPG webinars as well as training new outreach specialists. She develops and delivers topical gambling disorder-related webinars.
Linda Graves was the Executive Director for NAADGS, the National Association of Problem Gambling Services Administrators, a national organization of state employees who administer problem gambling funds within their respective states, 2019-2023. Before her move to California in 2011, Linda was the Problem Gambling Program Manager for the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery, State of Washington, where she implemented state-wide prevention, treatment, and certification services for the state’s publicly funded problem gambling services. Linda began her career in the problem gambling field with the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems in 1996, where she was Deputy Director. She trained counselors to provide gambling disorder treatment, implemented assessment and treatment services, and managed day-to-day operations under the supervision of the Executive Director.
Linda has served as Chair of the National Helpline Committee (2001-2005). She was awarded the National Council Service Award in 2003 and was voted Counselor of the Year for Delaware Association of Addiction Professionals in 2005. She was the recipient of the 2017 CA Council’s Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2017 NCPG Dr. Robert Custer Lifetime Achievement Award for Direct Service.
