California Certified Gambling Counselor, Level I (CCGC-I)<\/strong><\/h1>\n
The passing of California\u00a0Proposition 1A<\/a>\u00a0led to an unprecedented expansion of legalized gambling in California. Recognizing that an ever-increasing need for gambling counselors was developing, the California Council on Problem Gambling (CCPG) developed and taught the first problem gambling treatment class for counselors in the year 2000.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What is CCGC?<\/h3>\n

CCGC stands for California Certified Gambling Counselor. CCGCs receive intensive 30-hour online training, perform extensive supervised counseling and meet various other requirements prior to earning certification.\u00a0Upon completion of the comprehensive and only certification program for gambling counselors in California, they are well-prepared to counsel Problem Gamblers and their loved ones. Since 2000, CCPG has continued to teach and certify gambling counselors in California; however, with the demand for treatment of gamblers and their families increasing daily, there remains\u00a0an ever-growing need for competent gambling counselors.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Continuing Education and Training Hours\/Credit Information:<\/h3>\n
